RYA CEVNI Test (Online)

If you’re planning to navigate inland waterways in Europe, understanding the CEVNI (Code Européen des Voies de la Navigation Intérieure) regulations is essential. 

For many passing through our doors looking for advice and guidance on how to achieve inland waterways endorsement on their ICC (International Certificate of Competence) - the answer is simple - pass the CEVNI test online, before sending off your ICC Paperwork to the RYA.

Prior to attempting the CEVNI test, candidates should understand in advance, by studying the signs, lights, buoyage and regulations using the RYA European Waterways Regulations Book (RYA G17) - available on the course booking page.

Holding the PPR course certificate forms a pre-requisite for commercial endorsing RYA Practical Qualifications.

Certificate Issuing Criteria:

Able to identify and interpret the regulations of the European inland waterways.

The pre-learning for the CEVNI Exam is self paced study reading/study of:

• RYA European Waterways Regulations - Availble to select at the checkout

• Latest CEVNI Guidlines - Availble here

Although it is possible to complete the exam without these publications, this would require significant pre-knowldge on the topic and as such, we advised against attempting this.
