Whether you're brand new to Personal Watercraft (commonly known as ‘jetskis’) or have years of experience under your belt, this one-day, highly practical course is your gateway to safer, smarter, and more enjoyable adventures afloat.
Fun fact: ‘jetski’ is actually a patented brand name! The correct term is Personal Watercraft, or PWC.
This course is very practical! We'll have you on the water asap, where you'll spend most of the day building practical skills from the ground up. We start with launching and recovery techniques, then move into low-speed familiarisation and handling techniques. We move onto to essential safety drills including man overboard recovery, towing situations and key navigation rules that keep everyone safe afloat (IRPCS).
Over lunch, we introduce basic passage planning and navigation taking a #DigitalFirst approach, giving you the tools to chart your course with confidence. Then it’s back on the water to put theory into practice.
We ramp things up with planing speed and cornering techniques, helping you master control at speed while staying safe and aware. We dare you not to smile!
The course wraps up with guidance on craft recovery, corrosion prevention, and maintenance tips to keep your PWC performing at its best. If you look after your PWC well, it will look after you!
Not all PWC courses are bourn equal! We operate using high quality, well maintained Yamaha Waverunners - such as our top of the range Yamaha FX called Ocean. Other centres may send you out on entry level plastic PWC's so always check before you book!
We offer all of our students the option to wear our Crewsaver Kit - Including; 4mm Wetsuits, Spray Tops and 4 Buckle Impact Buoyance Aids. In addition you can even borrow our wetsuit booties and gloves! All our kit was brand new to us for the 2026 Season and is cleaned at the end of each use - ensuring you have the best experience possible
You don't need to go all the way to the Coast to do the RYA PWCP Course! Why not do you training here in the heart of England.
We are located just:
40 minutes drive from Oxford
20 minutes drive from Bicester!
We allow students to bring their own ski if they would rather, meaning you can learn on the vessel you intend to use longer term.
