The 1 Day RYA First Aid Course is aimed at water sports enthusiasts and professionals alike, with it forming part of the prerequisite list for most practical RYA Instructor Courses (such as Dingy and Powerboat Instructor). However, all are welcome as first aid skills are transferrable and could help you save a life!

During the course we will cover a breadth of first aid topics including:
The role of a first aider
CPR (Including drowning protocol)
Use of an AED (Defib)
The recovery position
Bleeding and how to control it
Shock
Cold shock and hypothermia
Seasickness and dehydration
Gaining medical assistance or advice by VHF
Helicopter rescue
CAT C First Aid Kits
